This arrangement is scored for Bb clarinet and 5-octave marimba. Like the original, it's an energy filled piece with a warm, mellow middle movement.

These five "Watercolours" (for solo piano) are inspired by the sounds of gongs, bamboo flutes, voices, metallophones and all the other instruments that comprise the Javanese gamelan.

"Waratah" (for SATB choir, brass and percussion) was commissioned in 2001 by Sydney Philharmonia Choirs for premiere performance at the Sydney Opera House.
